Mobile communication was traditionally related to large operators and nation-wide deployments. Local wireless access was achieved through the use of WiFi.

However, the local environments (enterprise, metro areas, etc.) are changing with greater demand for reliable cellular coverage. This demand has led to the introduction of Private LTE/5G networks.

While the radio side of the network is advanced through a variety of high performance quality small cells, the ability to synchronize these small cells is often overlooked. Failure to achieve adequate timing at the cells results in severely degraded network performance, and even a complete shutdown.

Fibrolan is geared to assist in these environments, with local Edge Grandmasters and distribution switches. We are also happy to share our experience and provide ‘crash courses’ to packet timing.
