Pre/Post Sales Engineer

Description

Post Sales support – Provide technical support to existing customers

Pre-Sales support -   Assist the sales team in technical related issue during the sales process.

Provide technical presentations to customers/partners’ technical staff

Maintain a list of all open technical issues and attempt to minimize closing time

Assist in product evaluations

Work will be performed out of FibroLAN's headquarters in Rochelle Park, NJ

Requirements

Experience: 5+ years related experience in Pre/post Sales technical support

Proven experience and capabilities in the following areas: Fiber related networking solutions (WDM, mobile backhauling, Access), Ethernet Switching, VLANs, etc.

Fiber related product experience required (Cisco or relevant experience in key competitor offerings  - MRV, Transition Networks, Allied Telesys, Omnitron Systems, IMC, Telco Systems, etc.);

Competitive knowledge including solutions, technology and product offerings.

 Understanding and conversant about company, solutions, product strengths and weaknesses.

Extensive travel required

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and strong presentation skills.

Ability to work effectively and add value as a team member. Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.

Strong problem solving skills; ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.

Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced demanding environment

Ability to conduct hands-on demos/evals/pilots/training.

Education

BSEE. CCNA or CCDA required
