FibroLAN unveils NGN Backhauling NTU

19 May, 2009

The Falcon SE series addresses mainly the fast growing market of mobile backhauling. While the original Falcon T series (announced last year) provided a robust and moderately priced point-to-point solution for cellular backhauling, the Falcon SE (including the Falcon SET)  series is an open ended, versatile and more flexible solution. It supports Stratum 3 level of synchronization along with 8 E1/T1 links over Ethernet, for either point-to-point or across  the network based on the CES/MEF8 standards.

In addition it allows the aggregation of virtually any number of E1/T1s on a ring, and offloading them as TDM links in a central location  (for instance - feeding SDH/SONET) or sending them across a next generation network.

The Falcon SE series cater to most of the current and envisaged methods in the mobile  backhauling arena being currently specified, including 2G (GSM), 3G (UMTS) and 4G as well as WiMAX base stations.
