Shamir Stein named CEO of FibroLAN

FibroLAN Ltd has announced today ,September 1st, 2010, the appointment of Mr. Shamir Stein as the company CEO.
Prior to this appointment, Shamir has successfully performed several multidisciplinary executive roles in the company, including Chairman, VP marketing, Director of S/W engineering, Program manager, large Account manager, as well as roles in other companies.
Israel Stein, Chairman of the Board, asserts: “ the Board has found Shamir , with his vast knowledge, experience and talent, to be the right individual to carry out the company’s strategic turnaround and to lead the company through the challenges of the fast growing and changing Telecom market “.

Edward Ullrich named General Manager of FibroLAN Inc.

Mr. Edward Ullrich was named today General Manager of FibroLAN Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of FibroLAN Ltd.
Ed brings with him a vast and long experience of Sales and Operations management in the telecommunications field. His career includes key roles with major vendors and carriers such as Huawei Technologies, Tellabs, Fujitsu, Alcatel-Lucent, Frontier Communications, MCI and others.
This appointment reflects the company's strategic view of the North-American market.

MSM4000U and U.CON4000 for 1/2/4G Fiber Channel applications
FibroLAN has released the newest members of the transparent channel family, the MSM4000U MetroStar module and the U.CON4000 standalone device, for 4GFC applications.
These products provide a transparent optical conversion channel, SFP based, typically used for mode conversion or extension of fiber links. Both models can operate in a wide range of data rates (100M to 4G), independently of the type of technology used (SDH/SONET, Ethernet, FC, ESCON, etc).
To complete the 4GFC support, FibroLAN offers a wide range of 4Gbps SFPs for distances of up to 80km, including single fiber and C/DWDM.
